Facilities

The  Department maintains facilities and equipment within the Rita Hollings Science Center, the New Science Center, and anywhere in the world we may be with our students.  The equipment comprises a suite of tools with which we train students to be critical thinkers and to be better prepared for the workforce when they graduate.  Ranging from mass spectrometers and gas chromatographs to boats and seafloor mapping tools to earthquake monitoring arrays and seismic equipment, many opportunities await our students when they enter our classrooms.

See a partial list of our equipment under our research pages.

If you are a member of the community, alumni, or anyone who wishes to help increase the resources within the department, please feel free to contact one of us.
